Our Medicine Is All Around Us
Community Wellness is our opportunity as individuals to participate in collective historical and intergenerational trauma healing that is rooted in a social-justice informed and Intergenerational Healing Approach ™. By regularly creating safety, trust, and visibility together we walk beyond our individual healing and begin to recognize our shared journey. Community Wellness is CAM™ (Community Activated Medicine™), where we inform to activate and where the people are the medicine. Too often as individuals, we forget that we have the medicine within us and when we come together as a community that collective healing felt is strengthened and enriched. Our programming ebbs and flows with the seasons and our cultural teachings. A community-led approach, our girls focus on bridging the gap to wellness through matriarchal leadership, sisterhood and community building. As a cornerstone to improving their mental health, wellness, and advocacy skills, they are the change advocates to violence prevention and healing-informed CAM™ Next Generation Cycle Starters™

Youth on Mental Health

Our DOT girls are on a mission to bring their Indigenous voices to community spaces and speak on mental health and social justice issues that matter to them, their families and their communities. An intergenerational mentorship group, our girls lead by example. They learn from our CAM™ trained therapists, healers and advocates to be proud of all that makes them ready to be the next generation of healers, helpers and leaders in our communities.

Women's Healing Circles
The Women’s Relational Healing Support Group meets for 12 weeks during the Spring and Fall, and 10 weeks in the summer, creating a powerful circle of strength and support. Participants embark on a journey of self-exploration through self-study, integrating weekly CAM™ themes, practicing therapeutic techniques, journaling, and engaging in art therapy.

These talking circles foster a nurturing space for vulnerability, allowing women to share, release, and grow both individually and collectively.

Healing Through Brotherhood
Sons of Tradition (SOT) is an all-Indigenous boys youth group focused on mentorship, violence prevention, intervention, and restorative justice. Launched in 2023, our program utilizes a CAM™ informed approach to empower young men through learning and personal growth. Immediately following the Elders Book Club or Elders Social Hour, the Elders Power-Up group focuses on intentional movement and holistic well-being, incorporating activities like modified stretching, low-impact exercises, and chair hula. Each session is personalized to affirm that every effort contributes to the overall health and happiness of our Elders, fostering a strong sense of community and support.
Story Menders™

Story Menders™ is a transformative youth group designed for Indigenous youth, where we harness the power of storytelling and healing through the Indigenous Role-Playing Game (RPG), Coyote & Crow. Our program is dedicated to fostering a healing-informed and accessible environment for our relatives, enabling participants to build confidence, enhance communication and coping skills, strengthen decision-making abilities, and cultivate a sense of community.
In this group, our youth engaged deeply in the art of story building and character development, collaborating with our art therapist to bring their unique characters to life. Supported by our Story Guide Facilitator and counselors, they navigated the rich narratives created within the game. At the culmination of the group, participants present the characters and worlds they developed, sharing their characters’ backstories and celebrating their creativity and growth. Through this heartfelt journey, our youth not only hone their skills but also build lasting connections with one another, solidifying their sense of belonging and purpose.
